Rheumatic diseases such as arthritis can cause inflammation and pain in the joints and surrounding areas making it difficult to carry out normal activities.
Rheumatology at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is tasked with diagnosing and treating these conditions which include, but are not limited to arthritis (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid), certain autoimmune diseases, fibromyalgia, gout, lupus, osteoporosis and tendonitis.
