Danielle Heller, MD MHS, is a board-certified General Surgeon specializing in Breast Surgical Oncology. After earning her medical degree from Columbia University, she spent nearly a decade as a resident and post-doctoral student at Yale, training as a surgeon-scientist and growing deep roots in the community. After completing a fellowship in breast cancer surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, she is thrilled to return to Fairfield County to become part of the Hartford Healthcare family.
Dr. Heller is passionate about patient-centered care, and about elevating the quality of breast cancer treatment for all individuals. Staying engaged with the most current clinical trials and focusing on healthcare delivery and disparities in her own research are central to these goals. She brings this knowledge to the bedside in order to build a treatment plan that is both data-driven and extremely personal to patients.
Dr. Heller is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, and American College of Surgeons. She has published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.
