Bio

Gerard Fumo, DO, MS, is a medical oncologist/hematologist working at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at MidState Medical Center since 2012. He earned a master of science degree in molecular biology from the State University of New York at Albany and his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center, a fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and a fellowship in hematology at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, also part of the NIH.

He participated in drug development research at the NIH.

He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
