Bio

Dr. Wei Li practices family medicine and sports medicine at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group’s primary care practice on Farmington Ave. in Bristol. With comprehensive training in functional anatomy, he diagnoses and treats athletes and active individuals to keep them healthy and injury-free.

Sports and physical activity have always been a bedrock in his life, centering him physically and mentally. His personal approach to both sports medicine and primary care focuses on prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and significant diseases with a core emphasis on strengthening and health. He is a sports-related concussion specialist, helping players return to their sport quickly and safely.

Dr. Li’s clinical areas of interest include sports ultrasound guided injection therapies as a nonsurgical treatment for patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries. He also has a special interest in regenerative medicine through Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, which uses the body’s own healing and growth factors to overcome chronic injuries.

Dr. Li is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He received his medical degree from The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glen Head, NY and completed his residency at Northwell Health Plainview Hospital in Plainview, NY.
