Bio

Dr. Alberts comes to us from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he is vice chair of clinical affairs and hospital neurology for the Department of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics and medical director of neurology services for UT Southwestern University Hospitals.

He is a professor of Neurology at UT Southwestern and is board certified in neurology and vascular neurology.

After receiving his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Duke University, Dr. Alberts earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston with medical honor society honors. He has held leadership positions at Duke University Medical Center, Northwestern University Medical School and Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He is a member of The Joint Commission’s Technical Advisory Panel on Comprehensive Stroke Centers, a fellow of the American Heart Association and co-chair of the Brain Attack Coalition.
