Young Leaders Event Celebrates Neighborhood Health

September 13, 2022

The Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC) marked the 10th year of its signature fundraising event, Spring Into Action, with a celebration of Hartford HealthCare’s Neighborhood Health and a gift of a Piccolo Xpress, a portable diagnostic analyzer that offers blood chemistry tests at the point-of-care.

YLAC Chair Brian Sullivan, along with Lynn Rossini, vice president of philanthropy, Hartford Hospital, and Adam Steinberg, DO, vice president of medical affairs, Hartford Region, Hartford HealthCare, welcomed nearly 90 Neighborhood Health staff members, Spring Into Action sponsors, and YLAC members and friends to the event at the Education and Resource Center on Hartford Hospital’s campus on Sept. 6.

“Each year, we face the difficult task of choosing a single beneficiary for Spring Into Action when there are so many worthy causes at Hartford Hospital,” Sullivan said. “This year, we are excited to provide support for Hartford HealthCare’s Neighborhood Health. Proceeds from tonight’s event are all going toward the purchase of a Piccolo Xpress chemistry analyzer and to help program funding. I want to thank everyone here for their contributions, especially our gold sponsor, FIP Construction.”

Lynn Rossini, vice president of philanthropy, said, “We are so grateful to have a dedicated group like YLAC working to support such a worthy beneficiary. Philanthropy plays a special role at Hartford Hospital in advancing our mission and promoting our values of Integrity, Caring, Equity, Excellence, and Safety. Neighborhood Health reflects those values every day.”
